Winter Extravaganza

Merry Christmas!  It is such an exciting time of year.  I can tell the students are pretty amped up. I've noticed a great deal of "off task" behavior, recently. Please discuss the importance of staying focused and doing quality work throughout the next 2 weeks of school.  I've explained to students that I am often called upon by Santa as a character witness regarding "naughty" and "nice" behavior.

I hope you have marked your calendar for this Saturday and our annual Winter Extravaganza!  This week a hot pink paper was sent home with information regarding this Hawthorn tradition from 8:30-11:30 am.  I hope to see you there.

On Friday, I sent home a study guide for students to review finding Missouri and its boarder states on the map.  I've asked students to spend a little bit of time each night studying the maps and identifying those places.  We will be testing over this information early next week.

Next week will be our final week of school for second quarter. Next Friday, we will have a school wide Read-In beginning at 9:30.  Students are welcome to wear their pj's and bring pillows for the event.
