Science/Social Studies

Science and Social Studies:

It is my goal to engage students in as much inquiry as possible during their time in 3rd grade. In science, students use a Science Notebook to record their thinking throughout the various demonstrations and experiments we do. I use the Science Notebooks as a meaningful tool to assess students' understanding of science concepts, as well as, their ability to use the scientific process.

In Social Studies, students will research their own family history, as well as, the cultures and traditions of people very different from themselves. We will discuss economic principles and learn how our government works.

    1. Me too! What if I told you I had some M&M experiments planned; what questions do you have about M&Ms that we could test through the scientific process?
