I was bitten by the Pinterest bug last summer and it has made a huge impact on my life. Not only has it made me want to renovate my entire house, re-purpose old t-shirts, and cook exclusively with a crockpot, it has also introduced me to the most amazing teachers. Through Pinterest I have begun to read so many fantastic teaching blogs! So, a whole year later, I feel like I want to take the plunge with this blogging thing.
"But what purpose should this blog serve?" A voice, deep from within, asked.
I want a place where parents can come and experience a little bit of their child's life from 8:30 to 3:30. I want them to be able to see pictures of their child learning and having fun, but also find important documents or recently updated information about school events. Most importantly, I want my students to be able to add content to the blog and be part of this experience with me. Not only do I envision students commenting on posts, but also writing posts. And that is where my trepidation lies. Have I bitten off more than I can chew? Only time will tell.
In the meantime, I need to figure out how to upload pictures on this thing!
